The rules I had for the last attempt made it a lot harder to get past the third gym, not forgetting how bad I am at keeping my team from fainting of course but my point still stands. So I'm switching up the rules a bit. As in the other attempts - When a pokemon is caught it is given a limit based on the gym leaders highest level pokemon. Once it reaches this level it can level up once more and then has to 'retire' and is left in the box. However, after a gym battle I'll roll a number between 1 and 5 (starter is an exception as always) , the rolled number will apply to one of the team slots and that pokemon will get a new limit - this way I get to keep some pokemon for a little longer. Once you beat the gym the new pokemon you catch are given a new limit based on the next gym. Extra feature - once unlocked you can breed the retired pokemon so you can get them back as a new generation of pokemon (however, you can't switch between generations in battle and I won't be catching a ditto
